Is the chapel right for us?

We welcome Catholics who are free to marry and have a connection to the Archdiocese of Chicago. The chapel is not a parish. A priest or deacon coordinates your preparation and canonical marriage file. You may contact us while you are still looking for a presider.

Your planning checklist

Use your browser’s Print command to save or print this guide. Check items as you plan; your wedding team verifies the official requirements.

  • Check ceremony availability and submit your formal wedding inquiry.
  • Coordinate with a priest or deacon and share his contact information with the desk.
  • Review the reservation form and fee instructions supplied by the wedding team.
  • Receive the desk’s written confirmation of your date and time.
  • Complete marriage preparation with your preparing minister.
  • Within six months of the wedding, request a newly issued baptismal certificate, sent directly to your preparing minister.
  • Your preparing minister submits the complete canonical file to the Rector at least 30 days before the wedding.
  • Plan sacred music and share chapel guidelines with your photographer and florist.
  • Confirm rehearsal and arrival details with the wedding team. Bring your Cook County marriage license to rehearsal.
